Climbing Walls for Peace

I made it!

It took 320 times up the walls, 11 belay partners, and a total of 16.5 hours… for me to climb 2 miles in a day!

I climbed 64 routes 5 times each. I never fell.

I was propelled by the extraordinary generosity of 21 donors, my super incredible belay team, a core group of super fans, the ultra-amazing Central Rock Hadley, and my love of Ultimate Peace.

It was a truly magical experience.

In all I managed to raise $1,700 for UP!

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who supported me on this journey!

Now it’s time to sleep

I love Ultimate Peace.

I love rock climbing

Both have taught me how to find my way over walls.

This year I am going to go a couple extra miles to raise funds for Ultimate Peace, an organization dedicated to building bridges of friendship. An organization full of joy, light, and love. An organization that does the work, even when it’s hard. Especially when it’s hard.

On Tuesday, March 3rd I am going to climb two miles in a day.

My journey to climb 10,560 feet will take around 260 trips up the wall over a span of about 13 hours.

Here’s how you can support me on my journey:

  1. You can pledge to donate a certain amount of money to Ultimate Peace for every 10ft that I climb!
  2. You can be a part of my belay team!
  3. You can cheer me on from wherever you are in the world and help spread the word about my project and Ultimate Peace!

Your support means the world to me.

Peace, שלום, سلام,

Climbing parameters:

  • I’ll be top toping all of the climbs. Well, there is a chance I may lead climb a very limited number of the climbs, but it’s not super likely.
  • I must send a climb for it to count. This means that if I fall or rest on the rope, that climb won’t count in my distance total.
  • I won’t climb any one route any more than 5 times. This means, by my count, that if I minimize the average difficulty of the climbs I make, I will need to climb every route at Central Rock Hadley rated 5.10- or below 5 times in order to make it to 2 miles. That being said, I’ll most likely mix in some more difficult climbs every now and then depending on how I’m feeling. This seems like a good time to work on my next 5.12+ lead project, right? :)
